The Clone Wars Art Department Signed and Numbered Print SetRussell Chong, former designer on The Clone Wars animated series, created two paintings paying homage to two of Ralph McQuarrie's original Star Wars concept illustrations. The first is of Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano, designed to match Ralph's original logo concept featuring Han Solo and Luke Skywalker (when the character was still female).The second image mirrors Ralph's famous 'Fab Five' painting, this time utilizing the entire heroic cast of The Clone Wars.While Chong's second illustration was used on the slipcase for the limited edition of The Art of Clone Wars from Chronicle Books, the prior painting is otherwise unpublished.Each of these prints was produced by The Art of Ralph McQuarrie for the Clone Wars art department, presenting Ralph and Russell's artwork side by side. The first piece is signed and numbered by both Ralph and Russell, and the second piece is initialed and numbered by both Ralph and Russell.Strictly limited to 26 numbered copies of each print, this matching numbered set is one of the last undistributed sets.As these were produced at different times, some members of the art department that were no longer working on the show when the second print was produced don't even have a matching numbered set!Here's your extremely rare chance to own a unique piece of Star Wars history that bridges the gap between the original trilogy and The Clone Wars animated series.
